Why

• The mean slant of political articles is +0.86 (n=14), with 13 of the 14 coded articles at +1 and only one at −1. This points to a consistent moderate centre-right stance.
• Tone towards the government is positive (+0.6, n=25), while towards the opposition it is negative (−0.67, n=12). The asymmetry is consistent with a pro-government stance.
• Sources lean heavily towards the government: 37 government sources against 6 from the opposition. Many texts reproduce almost verbatim statements, posts or announcements from the government and New Democracy without a rebuttal.
• The opposition is framed negatively: the headline stresses a provocative phrase from a Tsipras party official. By contrast, Marinakis's attack on Tsipras is presented dramatically, but from the side of the government spokesperson.
• A poll headline presents a marginal lead (47.8% vs 45.7%) as “majority in favour of a single-party government”, which favours the government narrative.
• On national issues (the Turkey-Libya memorandum) the official position of the Foreign Ministry is adopted as a given. This is common in Greek press and only partly indicative of party leaning.
• There is also coverage of Samaras's criticism of the government, without a government response. The stance is therefore not entirely one-sided, although the criticism comes from the right.
