What the sources report
The Independent Authority for Market Control and Consumer Protection plans price cuts on around 25 product categories for the Christmas and New Year's table.[1]
The action is called 'Holidays for All' and is expected to be implemented from 18 December, as the head of the Authority, Despina Tsaggari, said.[1]
The meat categories will include, among others, lamb and turkey.[2]
According to Ms Tsaggari, about 60 product codes have already been collected, and the aim is to add others by the start.[3]
Announcements about the holiday "basket" are expected towards the end of November.[3]
Where they differ
Newsit reports that price reductions reach up to 25%, while CNN Greece reports that in certain categories reductions greater than the 5% set as the minimum target in the previous phases are being pursued, without giving an upper limit.[3][4]
Newsit reports that lamb and turkey will be added, while pork and beef had been included in the previous two initiatives; Oikonomikos Tachydromos reports that lamb and turkey had not been included in the previous phases.[4][1]
