The activity of a criminal network in Northern Greece has been revealed, whose members used an NGO as a front to embezzle sums from fundraising drives for children with serious illnesses.[1]
The Hellenic Police press spokesperson said six people had been arrested in connection with the organisation and that it was collecting money for fundraising drives without the required permit.[2]
The mother of a 12-year-old boy with leukaemia told ThessPost.gr that her family's need for financial support was allegedly turned into a means of raising money for the organisation.[3]
