What is happening

What the sources report

Officers of the Security Team of the Patrols Sub-directorate of GADA found an illegal metal processing and trading site in central Athens.[1]

The site was on Iasonos Street.[2]

A 37-year-old foreign national was arrested after being found using special equipment to burn and melt cables in order to recover copper.[1]

According to the investigation, he did not have a licence to operate a workshop, and the melting was carried out without environmental protection measures.[1]

A case file was opened against him by the Omonia Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes Department and he was brought before the competent prosecutor.[1]
