KKE and KNE denounce far-right attack on schoolgirl in Zarouchleika, Patras

What the sources report

The Achaia organisations of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and its youth organisation (KNE) denounce an organised fascist attack on a schoolgirl in Zarouchleika, Patras, on Tuesday evening.[1]

The target, according to the announcement, was a student who takes part in the Patras Student Coordinating Committee and is a member of KNE.[1]

As alleged in the complaint, people carrying brass knuckles and knives took part in the attack, and members of KNE who rushed to defend the student were also injured.[2]

According to the complaint, the attack followed repeated attempts at intimidation, even outside the student's home in the previous days.[3]

The organisations call on the people of Patras and the city's bodies to condemn the attack and isolate the fascist groups.[1]
